Open Position: City Operations Manager
Number of Positions (1 in Bhopal)
Job overview:
1. Man power management for all the stores in the city, including recruitment, training, leave and vacation planning, and mentoring of the store staff in the city. Indirectly responsible for the overall profitability of the city operations through high employee morale.
2. City Ops manager would serve as the key communication link between the company and its city operations, both in terms of communicating company policy and also providing feedback.
3. Maintain relationship with various operational vendors in the city to ensure smooth running of the stores.
4. Various other activities linked to growth of the retail operations for the city, and making the company brand successful.

Job overview
1. Responsible for the overall well being of the store.
2. Responsible for maintaining a very close tie with the store customers. Perform and improve on various company initiatives of building and maintaining this relationship.

7to9 Retail is a rapidly growing Indian retail chain with operation in North and Central India - founded in end-2004 and currently running 14 stores and on track to reach 40 stores by end Q1 2008. 7to9 Retail is a group company of 7Avenues, which is a private equity with investors worldwide and interest in retail, food, supply chain, and online businesses.
(3) Job Description
We have a strong executive and operation team, and you will complement them. You will be the company’s face to our customers out there. The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
(a) Grow Sales by increasing awareness of the retail stores in each of their locations. You will work with a small but sufficient budget. Work will include meeting retail chain customers wherever possible and building 7to9 Retail brand and relationships with them. Your efforts should result in higher sales in the stores. 40% effort planned here.
(b) Present market intelligence/customer feedback along with potential solutions to executive management weekly. 30% effort planned here.
(d) Build and execute profitable customer relationship/loyalty plan, with help from executive management, to ensure that our top customers for each store grow with us. 20% effort planned here.
(d) Drive sales volume and margin through active involvement with customers and Store Team Members sales. 10% effort planned here.
(4) Job Requirements
You will have a high energy level with great interpersonal skills and thrive on multiple challenges. Experience in retail sales is preferred but not a deal breaker.
